Its been a while again

Thursday, August 15th, 2002

Its been a while again. Doing a lot to get ready to move back to State College. So here goes with what I can remember for a quick update.

We won the Senior Connie Mack Championship! That was a while ago but we played two games on Sunday after a rain out and came from behind to win both and the championship. Next week we will be working on a highlight video so look for that. My final stats for the regular season were: 8/22, 5 RBI, 11 R, 8 BB, 5 K, 5 SB, 4 E. I don’t remember what I did in the playoffs – I didn’t get any hits made 2 errors but made a few nice plays in the field.

I had scanned on my pictures from my graduation wall my sisters made for me last year. Stuff from when I was a baby up to Senior Prom. I don’t have a nice page made yet but you can view all the pictures here.

I have a few other pictures of other recent stuff I will probably get around to posting next week.

The Pittsburgh kids came to visit last week. It was a great time. We went to Pat’s, the King of Prussia Mall, Ocean City, NJ, and my back yard. It was an awsome time. We don’t have any pictures because I was doing on the driving and for some reason just didn’t get the camera out.

This site most likely won’t be updated very often, if at all. I will be updating the Greenwich site on a daily basis and running the Coaches vs. Cancer site. I will have links for both of those next week when I launch them.

Finally a chance to talk about

Finally a chance to talk about our 27-0 win last Sunday. Although with so much happening its hard to pick what to talk about. Childs pitched an incredible game, gave up 2 hits and no runs. I went 3 for 3 with 2 walks, 4 runs scored, 1 RBI, 1 SB. It seemed like everytime I scored it was time to get up to the plate again. In the third inning I was two batters away from my third at-bat of the inning. In the fourth inning everyone decided to bat lefty. I had no chance at hitting the ball so I just hit righty. Wes had a triple in his lefty at-bat. When Keath came up his parents and even the other team booed when he stepped into the righty’s box. He tried to hit lefty but they pulled the pitcher. The coach asked if he could throw a 2-year Legion player and we said sure. The kid threw hard so we just hit him harder than the other kids. We finally gave up. Pyrz hit a bomb and stopped at first and Jarinko bunted and that ended the inning. It was the most incredible game I have ever been a part of, on the winning side.

Wednesday Keath and I went and took a survey at King of Prussia Mall. For two hours we went in a bunch of different clothing stores and said what we did and didn’t like and why. For all this hard work we got $100 each. We went to Nordstrom’s, Macy’s, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, Abercrombie & Finch, American Eagle, and Pacsun. I am not the most experience shopper, I had not been in a few of those stores before. But it was fun and who knows, maybe I’ll buy a rugby shirt.
