Question of the Day – 4/13/06

Do you feel awkward enjoying an older song by a band or artist that you can’t stand anymore? My example … this morning Kid Rock’s Bawitdaba was on. Very catchy, still enjoyable, yet I can’t stand Kid Rock any more, so I feel a little weird enjoying it. If you want to push it then you can take a look at Limp Bizkit. If I heard Faith I’m going to enjoy it, yet I’m going to feel really dirty afterwards. Is this just me? Do you have any other examples? This is a different feeling than enjoying any of the following: Backstreet Boys, NSync, Brittany Spears, or Hanson. That’s a whole other issue I have to deal with.

What Phillies fan clubs can you remember? What would your fan club be? Or you can make one up for someone else on the list.

That Phillies fan clubs became popular in the last years of the vet. The first I can recall is likely the best and most popular: The Wolf Pack. There were other solid ones along the way. The ones I can remember: The Duck Pond, The Padilla Flotilla, Burrell’s Girls, and Mesas Faces (I think). This year has already produced J-Rolls Bakery and Sal’s Pals. Sal said about his fan club, “It was awesome. It pumped me up. It really did… . It takes a certain hairy Italian to grow something like this.” Travis has suggested Utley Crue as one he would like to do. Of course, who can forget Coggin’s Corner.
