One my the blogs that I check out regularly, Lost Remote, has a very interesting article today on how Arrested Development should use its popularity to change television. The idea is to make new content freely available On Demand and online and then charge for old content via those mediums and sell DVDs. Read the story for all the various ideas. It would be too good to be true at this point. Another rumor from this week is that Showtime might try and get the show. Great idea for Showtime since I would pay for it just for AD.

More Arrested Development Stuff
Tuesday, November 15th, 2005Ali G TNT Commericals
Saturday, November 12th, 2005Best commercials on TV right now? The Ali G commercials for the NBA on TNT. If you haven’t see them then check them out. If you ever hang around with Matt and I at the same time then you will manage to pick up on a few bits from these ads that will make us seem less weird. Only slightly less, but that’s still less.

Arrested Development Canceled
Friday, November 11th, 2005In case you weren’t aware which of the broadcast networks has no idea what they are doing the answer is Fox. Most people already know this. They canceled Family Guy and Futurama a few years back but have kept a number of worthless shows and continue with their reality crap. I guess they need something to put on their Reality Channel. This time they’ve got and canceled Arrested Development. In my mind there isn’t even an argument that AD is the best show on TV. They cut this season’s order down to 13 episodes from 22, last year they cut it from 22 to 18. Only 5 have aired this season but knowing Fox you are going to have to do some hunting to find those last 8. Then they’ll come out on DVD and do huge numbers as usual. There is still a chance that a ton of people watch the rest of the episodes and they see their error. Really the only hope is that another channel picks it up, I’m looking in your direction HBO. Please, please, please.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: The Pizza
Wednesday, November 9th, 2005You’ve heard me discuss R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet, the DVD is currently in transit, and maybe even Kimmel’s “The Pizza”. This week (or last I can’t keep my episodes straight) Jimmy premiered Chapter 4 of the epic. It had been a long while since Chapter 3. When Chapter 3 premiered he said he hoped that it was the last one. R. Kelly has kept going so Jimmy has to keep up. Its actually just as good as R. Kelly’s. Hopefully there will be some DVD releases in the future. He also mentioned that they are all online and that got me pretty excited to share will all of you these amazing videos.
Here are the links to each chapter that is out so far:

Animaniacs on DVD
Thursday, October 27th, 2005Really excited to read this today. Not only Animaniacs but also a seperate release for Pinky & the Brain. Animaniacs was my favorite cartoon, I watched it everyday after school. Won’t be released until mid-2006 but there will be around two dozen episodes per set.
