WTC Ground Zero. It started to pour before we got on the Subway to get here. There was a mad rush to underground and the machines weren't working well to get the rail pass. Evan and I tried to go through on one swipe. Apparently thats frouned upon by the NYPD who stopped us for ID. I played it cool by acting like a tourist and we got off with a warning. Also at the site people kept trying to sell us umbrellas. We were soaked to the bone. At this point we couldn't get any wetter, so what's the purpose of an umbrella.

Soaked: Exhibit A

We wandered all over and took pictures of a lot of stuff, as you can see, but didn't get everything. Also, the Empire State Building was closed, which was the theme of our trip.

As you can see there were a lot of flags in the last picture. The Rockies starting pitcher was from Taiwan and he drew a crowd. They brought enough flags for the whole section. I am the proud owner of one of these. The kids had no idea what they were doing, they were just happen to have a free flag even if it was Taiwan's. Interesting to note the flags were not made in Taiwan, as you would think, they were from Mexico. You think a country whose economy is based on cheap plastic crap would keep this sort of thing in house.
