Happy Shark Week!
Weekend Notes
I watched The Benchwarmers. Big fan. You all know my odd love for Rob Schneider movies. The strange thing is he plays a completely normal character in the movie while everyone else is insane. Nick Swardson co-wrote it and plays David Spade’s agoraphobic brother. Sean Salisbury also appears as one of the evil coaches. I’m not a Salisbury fan on ESPN but you need to see his performance in this. I don’t want to ruin anything, you’ll just have to believe me that its quality.
Next time I decide to have a party I’m going to get some commitments before announcing anything. Lindsay came to hang out for a while and Buck stopped in for a visit. That was the extent of the crowd.
Don’t ask me about the Abreu trade. Don’t. At least Bell and Lidle are gone.
Thoughts …
Matt owed me money for Dave’s wedding present. We didn’t get to take care of it in Pittsburgh. So no big deal, he was just going to mail me a check. He mailed it, I received it, no problems there. However, he sent just the check in the envelope. No note. Obviously I was expecting it and no explanation was needed. Still, in these situations I feel a note is required. Whenever I’m sending a check I will always include a note, even though it drives me nuts. I am more concerned with the note than the money I am sending. What are your thoughts on this? Is a note required or is just writing in the memo sufficient?
I went to dinner in Skippack Saturday night with Lindsay. On the menu at the diner we went to it said that breakfast is available all day. However, dinner is available only after 5pm. This bothered me. If you are will to make breakfast all day, why not dinner? Also, in my opinion, which may be controversial, I believe dinner is the most important meal of the day. So if anything is available all day, it should be dinner. If you want to go a step further you should eat dinner in the morning, just to get the most important meal out of the way.
