Wednesday
Wednesday started out with a trip to the mall so that Evan could load up on summer clothes at Old Navy. We must have been asked 15 times if we would like to sign up for the Old Navy credit card to save 10%.
Two games today, first stop was Lakeland to see the Tigers take on the Indians. Both teams were split squad, that's teams that aren't nearly as good as any other in the league, and only half of them. After we wound up on the berm at the Phillies game we decided to save some money and just buy berm tickets and not even worry about seats. We were very surprised to find that Tigers fans actually exist. Out on the berm were a few College teams who must have had the day off from their tourneys, or were eliminated early. They were yelling out to the Tigers rightfielder Rondell White. He turned around and told them that he was going to have a good year and he was a fantasy sleeper. The game started out well but then the teams remembered this was Tiers baseball and the errors ensued.
Notes about the newly renovated Jack Marchant Stadium:
Parking was good, real close to the stadium
Nice berm with a BBQ.
Wiffle Ball field.
The food wasn't all that expensive with plenty of options.
Nice, new feel.
Forgot to renovate scoreboard.

For the night it was Braves/Phillies in Disney. The big showdown. Prior to the game Evan finally purchased some Braves merchandise that he had been contemplating al week. There were quite a few Phillies fans in the crowd. Enough to give J.D. Drew quite a booing. The uninformed Braves fans and tourists were clueless about what was going on. I did not want to waste any of my rechargeable batteries, but I was close enough to hit him. In the row behind us were a group of girls who were not too interested in the game. One of them worked at the stadium before and somehow got bats from batting practice. They were nice enough to put them on the back of our chairs so the kept hitting us. At least there was a young kid making fun of them when they asked stupid questions and doing a lot of eye rolling. It was pretty chilly, I at least had a jacket, Evan went with short sleeves and Brynn had sandals on. Brynn was able to track down hot chocolate, unfortunately for them, it wasn't hot, just chocolate. I think the Braves won, but it was so cold we left an inning early.
