Who put the bops in the bop shoo bop shoo bop?

Saturday night I went to the Phillies game with Elane, Lindsay, and Ahad. Saturday morning I was trying to figure out something to do and realized that Kazmir was pitching for the Devil Rays. Kazmir is one of my favorite young pitchers. I was able to find some people willing to go. Of course they lost. Chutley didn’t even play, Nunez was in. I made fun of him quite a bit when the lineups were announced. Of course he homered as part of the Nunez-Fasano back-to-back homers. It was fun to go down to the stadium. Got to tell all sorts of stories and annoy Ahad a few times, that adds up to a good evening no matter where you are.

Time for a new 2 year plan. I guess since I’m a little older my goals can be longer than 1 year. Recent goals were short-term things: Semesters, Minnesota. Now its time for something a little more serious. This week’s idea is getting an MBA. I’d been considering grad school, as I may have mentioned in the early days of the Daily Email. I don’t want to get another engineering degree and am leaning more toward business. So why not go all out? I could go at night while I’m working but I am thinking a little bigger. Where should I go? I perused Forbes’ list of the top schools. My favorite so far: Harvard. Really because I’m only looking at the Top 20 and think Boston would be cool. I don’t see myself heading back to PSU and I’m not sure about Penn. Evan claims he can convince me that UF is best, we’ll see. So I guess I have to start working toward taking the GMATs and see what happens. That score would give me a better idea of how high I should shoot. I bought a study book this weekend, we’ll see where that gets me. What will the wheel of life goals land on this week?

New feature for the Monday Email: Line of the Week. Over the past few weeks I’ve noticed my friends coming up with some pretty solid lines. Some of them stand up on their own while others are amazing only to me. One issue is that I can’t always share what the line of the week is, but I can say who said it. Two weeks ago was pretty competitive. I thought Meghann had it until Saturday when Emily Housel took the crown. This week’s comes courtesy of Luke. On Thursday at Lunch to say goodbye to Jodi (she is headed to Florida for 6 months), Aju was talking about his wedding. He said during the wedding one of the groomsmen passed out. Luke asked, “Had he never seen a flying carpet before?” Before Aju’s wedding we were asking about some traditions, such as riding to the church on a horse (Aju wanted an elephant) so thats where the first idea for the magic carpet came from. If I ever have a line of the week that can be shared with the group I most certainly will. Unfortunately this week’s cannot be shared, but it was oh so hilarious.

RANDOM WORTHLESSNESS

Have you been following the media drama at Geno’s? They have a sign up that says This is America, Please Speak English. People are getting all offended by this. 6 ABC did some interviews and talked to owner who made the best point yet. If you can’t speak English the sign won’t effect you, because you can’t read it.

On ESPN 2 last week the World Dominos Championships were on everyday. I didn’t spend enough time to see how they played. I can understand people getting into dominos. My question is how do you become a dominos commentator? I don’t see when that idea would come up. If you want to be involved with competitive dominos, why not just play? Is it that competitive?

Remember the Red Paperclip guy? Since we last checked in there have been a couple more trades.

Have you ever typed your password in the login spot so you can see it (not just the *’s)? I always feel really dumb as think now everyone knows it. Of course no one is even around or looking at the screen. Just me?

What part of speech is ‘clickety-clackity’? As in “Horses are very clickety-clackity.”
